Blue, or Bluefire Jellyfish are a species that can be found in the Atlantic Ocean off the Western shores of Scotland, The English channel, and the Irish Sea. 

In Norse mythology the first being created from the Spirit of Water was Hafgufa, a giant blue jellyfish. This creature was depicted as a god  and is also found in Scandinavian folklore as a giant fish with a body that serves as an island. This creature was often misunderstood and pursued by armies who saught to kill the creature for consuming ships of men.
