Giant Pacific Octopus

Octopuses are extremely intellegent beings. They have nine functioning brains (one central brain, and eight smaller brains in each leg) and three hearts. 

In 1991, the discovery of the human heart's "intrinsic cardiac nervous system," composed of approximately 40,000 neurons that are alike neurons in the brain, meant that the human heart has its own nervous system. It is believed that Octopus are no different. Their behavior shows an ability to deeply empathize and facilitates an extremely curious and understanding nature. While their life spans only 3- 5 years, these creatures are able to obtain vast amounts of wisdom while they are here.
