Leopard Sharks are one of the most commonly seen shark species in the Pacific coast, especially here in Southern California. These sharks dwell in kelp forests and are rarely seen in water above 65 feet deep - which makes them a common sight for snorkelers in La Jolla.

Leopard Sharks hatch from eggs, and can take many years to grow and reach maturity. These beautiful fish remind us that life is not meant to be lived in a rush, but rather appreciated when the journey is slow moving.
