  • Rosy Maple Moth

The rosy maple moth can be found across the eastern United States (including Eastern Texas) and in parts of adjacent regions of Canada. It lives in deciduous forests with abundant maples, its host (caterpillar food) plant. Occasionally, it will also lay its eggs on oak trees.

The color the Rosy Maple moth carries is magenta. Magenta is actually the unifying wavelength on the prismatic spectrum. Magenta precedes Red (as Red can be created from the combination of Magenta and Orange) and unifies Violet (the last wavelength on the prismatic spectrum) and Red.

The color Magenta represents (to the artist) the concept of unconditional love. Unifying as an energetic frequency.
